Brene Brown nailed it when she said 'We are not suppose to help ourselves, we are suppose to help each other.' So often we think we have to solve our problems and deal with our circumstances by ourselves. Shame often gets in the way of us asking for help and support when we are struggling. Most often 'doing it all by ourselves' leads to living inauthentic, unhappy lives that are filled with frustration, disappointment and judgement. Sometimes it seems we forget that we are suppose to need help from each other! Humans are designed to be social and interdependent beings within a community. A community where love, acceptance, belonging and connection thrives will erode our self- perpetuating shame beliefs. It will transform our individual lives and our collective humanity! Hear what Brene Brown has to say on this 2:36 minute video clip.
